LAGOS, NIGERIA – September 22, 2025 – Orodata Science, in partnership with the Africa Data Hub (ADH), is excited to announce the launch of a hackathon aimed at leveraging data to transform primary healthcare in Nigeria. The event challenges data scientists, developers, public health experts, and innovators to create solutions using comprehensive primary healthcare (PHC) data sets provided by Orodata Science.
The hackathon seeks to harness the power of data to address critical challenges within Nigeria’s healthcare system, such as resource allocation, and access to care. Participants will have the opportunity to develop innovative tools, applications, and data-driven insights that can improve health outcomes for millions of Nigerians.
The event will provide participants with access to a rich repository of PHC data, including information on facility locations, service availability, and demographic health indicators. Mentors from Orodata Science, Africa Data Hub, and the broader tech and public health communities will be on hand to guide teams throughout the product development process. We have data from PHC on Infrastructure, Service Delivery, Welfare, Inclusivity and Telecommunication Map.
Your Idea will be reviewed and the Top 3 shortlisted ideas will be asked to Pitch at the Hybrid Hackathon/Demo Day event Scheduled to hold in October 2025. Read more about the rules and regulations.
The hackathon will climax in a Demo Day where teams will present their projects to a panel of judges composed of leaders in technology, public health, and venture capital. Prizes will be awarded to the most impactful and innovative solutions.
Interested participants can register for the hackathon and find more information on the Orodata webpage.
